Despite the hotel being attached to a bar, there wasn’t as much noise from it as I was expecting. The food at the pool bar was amazing and the cocktails so cheap. Despite the negatives, the staff were really friendly, especially those at the pool bar. We paid €70 for aircon which was completely worth it, especially being 36°c at one point. The bathroom is more of a shower room, no shower curtain means everything gets wet in the bathroom and doesn’t drain properly. Even then, when we first arrived we were told to take photo’s of any damages or stains on the sheets/towels, which we did and there must have been around 25 photo’s taken of various different things. My friend even bought a towel to sleep on so that we wouldn’t get charged. Yes there is a charge list as many of the other reviews state, which made us extremely paranoid of getting anything on the towels or sheets. (Sorry, i should take the photo from beginning instead of later after shocking of what was my dinner and decide to write a review.)…ĭespite reading all the reviews after booking at the Marios, it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. I studied 4 years hospitality and worked for the hospitality 10 years ago before changing my current job and travel around the world, none of this experience that’s bad like this dinner, sorry! this is not standard of Marriott hotel chain or we have to rewrite the book again. Only the room look ok, the rest no standard for Marriott band at all. Today is raining day and we asked to borrow an umbrella but they don’t have it so we have to walk under the rain to find a shop and get one. So disappointed the dinner at the lobby bar, my food was preheat cod first and it,s terribly look, my husband ordered the crispy chicken poke, but the moment of truth the chicken was not crispy and it was cold, cold rice and lot of onion on it, the veggies was corn and cucumbers look old, we are eating the bread instead and the wine is just a quarter of the class !! No room service first of all, the swimming pool and the bar at 7 floors is closed too.
